The Most Unmotivated Egg Ever as an Astronaut? Gudetama collaborates with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in a video!

To celebrate Sanrio’s character Gudetama’s 5th anniversary, a video collaboration of Gudetama and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) was published Friday, August 31st. The video centers around the theme of space exploration and shows pre-departure preparations made at JAXA Tsukuba Space Center.

As preparation prior to blasting off into space, Gudetama visits the Center to learn more. In the video, he can be seen making typical Gudetama-like remarks such as “learning is impossible…” and asking silly questions like “how do you use soy sauce in space?”  and “can eggs go to space in a pack?”

In regards to this, the PR team at JAXA commented, “Out of all of the people who have been to space, we’ve never met anyone so unmotivated, so it’s a new experience for us.”

Plans for a comeback conference to welcome Gudetama's return from space are set in stone for Wednesday, September 12th, however, since a comeback conference can’t consist only of Gudetama, it will be a joint event with JAXA Astronaut Norishige Kanai. For more details, please refer to Sanrio’s website at (https://www.sanrio.co.jp).
